About
About
Choosing a paint colour should be joyful. A celebration of expression, and trusting your creative instincts. Finding inspiration anywhere, from anything. Much like music. Growing brand awareness and positive engagement for PPG Paints and lift the conversation beyond functional choices, we celebrated Kiwi artists and shared creative inspiration through their eyes.
The challenge was to link music to colour, and create a clear cohesive campaign that heroed PPG Paint’s brand, through a musical collaboration and ultimately sell paint. A palette of 10 colours, one created by each artist, created a visually arresting campaign that captured the exuberance of our young artists’ colour choices. Implemeted across outdoor, digital video and display, social and print, the comms featured the artists, with selected combinations of their colours. Playing on the limited edition album featuring their music, our circular graphic device referenced sound ripples, and the circular grooves on a vinyl record. With Paint, always at the centre.
